Hi, I’m Laura Starr—a licensed massage therapist, yoga teacher, and big believer in the body’s ability to heal when it’s given the right kind of support.

​

I started this journey not in a classroom, but at home—helping my daughter, a tough softball catcher, and my husband, who worked in law enforcement. I wanted to give them relief, recovery, and resilience. What I didn’t expect was how deeply I’d fall in love with this work. Helping people feel better in their bodies became more than a job—it became my purpose.

I opened my practice right here in my hometown of Harrison Township, Michigan, where I’ve created a space that’s down-to-earth, welcoming, and never intimidating. Whether you’re coming in for a massage to ease chronic pain or trying yoga for the first time, you’ll be met with kindness, expertise, and zero judgment.

I hold an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Massage Therapy and have collected a wide variety of certifications along the way—from sports massage and craniosacral therapy to aromatherapy, burn scar massage, and myofascial cupping. I believe in blending science and intuition, technique and care.

​

In 2025, I expanded my practice to include yoga because movement is medicine, too. But don’t worry—this isn’t a place where you need fancy leggings or perfect poses. We’re more “Yogi Bear” than strict yogi. Yoga here is about feeling better, moving with awareness, and coming back home to yourself—no pressure, just presence.

I’m proud to be a Professional Member of AMTA, serve on the AMTA-Michigan Chapter Board, and be a Medallion Member of IAHP. I also work with the Handle with Care Burn Scar Massage Team, which is some of the most meaningful work I’ve ever done.
